Bren Victress, Omega Empress to represent PH in MLBB Women's Invitational

All-female MLBB squads Bren Victress and Omega Empress will represent the Philippines in the inaugural Mobile Legends Women's Invitational, which will take place from January 27 to 30, 2022.

The two Filipino teams will battle it out against some of the best all-female squads from Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, and Indonesia for a cut of USD 15,000 (around PHP 770k) prize pool.

Other participating teams include Laos' IDONOTSLEEP (IDNS) Princess, Singapore's Lugiami, Cambodia's Impunity Starlets, Malaysia's Karra and On Air Pipol, and the top two teams in the Women Star League in Indonesia.

Bren Victress, comprised of Alexandria "Lexaaa" Dardo, Ashlie "Ashqt" Arevalo, Ayezha "Ashee" Alampayan, Denise "Taro" Marasigan, Krizzia Mae "Krish" Edangalino, and Lyn "Defrost" Mamasainged, will face Impunity, IDNS, Karra, and an Indonesian squad in Group A.

Omega Empress, composed of Fatima Phoebe "Fibii" Taburnal, Kaye "Keishi" Alpuerto, Mery Christine "Meraaay" Vivero, Rica Fatima "Amore" Amores, and Sheen "Shinoa" Perez, will encounter Lugiami, On Air Pipol, and an Indonesian team in Group B.

All matches in the group stage will be played in a double round-robin format consisting of a best-of-one (Bo1) series.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, where every series is single elimination. All matches are best-of-three (Bo3) except for best-of-five (Bo5) grand finals.

The MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) will be hosted by Moonton Games in collaboration with ONE Esports, a subsidiary of ONE Championship.

The Philippines has been a powerhouse in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pro scene, with Blacklist International winning the M3 World Championship and Execration (now Omega Esports) dominating the Southeast Asia Cup last year.
