Major telco PLDT and its wireless arm Smart Communications announced that they had encountered an unforeseen issue with one of their international cable systems on December 27, 2021.

With this internet connection problem, subscribers may experience slow loading for some websites and mobile apps.

In a statement, PLDT Inc said that they are working with partners to resolve the issue.

"We are now working with our partners to address this issue and have utilized other channels to minimize impact," said PLDT Inc.
