On 15 th December , the flight ceremony for the R2-D2 ANA (Japan) jet was held at Los Angeles Airport, with the cast members of The Force Awakens gathered for a photo op. Director J.J. Abrams also attended.

R2-D2 ANA jet will be serving Japan domestic routes while the upcoming BB-8 ANA jet will serve the international routes starting in March, 2016.

The NH1977 Star Wars R2-D2 ANA JET is a chartered flight flying between Los Angeles (The Force Awakens premiered at Los Angeles on 14th December, 2015 ) and London (The Force Awakens premiered at London on 16th December, 2015). The Force Awakens premiered in Japan on 18th December, 2015).

The cast and the rest flew to London on this jet. I wonder if anyone can carry a lightsaber onboard the plane?
